Today was an awesome day! In Bible, we learned more about God's Creation: He created the world is seven days! He is a powerful God!
We have centres today. Below is a picture of a listening centre; students listen to a story being read while flipping through the pages of a book. Today, they listened to "The Kissing Hand". Students are learning how to problem solve and work independently from the teacher (this will come in handy when we start guided reading. I won't be able to help them, so if I can teach them now how to work independently, things will go more smoothly in January when we start Guided Reading and other teacher-led small groups.
The highlight of the day was our apple pie booklets. We are learning about the five senses. So we used our eyes, ears, nose, fingers and (of course) mouth, to make observations about our mini apple pies! This was a blast!! As you child about their five senses. Below are some pictures!
Reminders:
• Don't forget to bring in your pink permission slip for the field trip tomorrow
• Homework folder needs to be returned every day
• Tomorrow is stuffy day: students get to bring in their favourite stuffed animal (just one) to do some special activities with!
Blessings,
Mrs. Marshall
