This morning, Mrs. Gray's Kindergarten class came into our classroom to join us. We watched a short youtube clip about Thanksgiving (you can watch it below). Afterwards, we talked about what it means to be thankful. We brainstormed a bunch of things we are thankful for. As you can see from the picture below, your children are thankful for a lot!!
Afterwards, and still with Mrs. Gray's class, we talked about what it means to be a good friend. We are trying to address this frequently in class as the students are still young and are learning how to interact with other students. If you could please help us at home that would be awesome. Some rules we are talk about in class are:
1. "Use Kind Hands": this means no pushing, touching or grabbing.
2. "When someone says stop, you stop!: we are talking about how important it is to respect our friend's and teacher's wishes. People don't want to play when someone doesn't listen and won't stop.
We also created the kinds of behaviour that we should have at school and created a great list! There is a picture below :)

- It's now rainy season, so please don't forget to send your child with a rain jacket.
- Homework tonight: practicing writing numbers 1-5. This is their first time doing it, so just encourage them to do their best.
- No school on Friday or Monday
- Please bring homework folders back every day.
