As promised, below are some pictures of the Pumpkin Patch! We had an awesome time learning about the life cycles of apples and pumpkins. Students saw an old fashioned apple sorting machine, got to try apple cider and, bet goats and bunnies, went on a tractor ride, explored a corn maze, and picked out a pumpkin. Needless to say, there was never a dull moment.
Thank you for your prayers as well. As some of you may know, one of the students got hurt, so we went to the hospital. Mrs. Gray and Mr. Bryerton taught the class while I was with the child at the hospital. Praise the Lord the child is fine! I know lots of you were praying. The Lord is good and answers prayers.
Today we had all school chapel. You can be very proud of your child! They had to sit and listen to a message for about 25-30 minutes and they did awesome. The speaker talked about the importance of missions work and praying for missionaries.
Afterwards, we talked about what we had seen, heard, smelled, tasted and touched at the Applebarn. Below is a picture of some of the ideas your children brainstormed.
We also talked about three star colouring. I'm encouraging students to colour in the lines, use colours that make sense, and make sure there is no white spaces. If they have done all three of these, it is called three star colouring.
For homework, students are to trace their name :) Practice makes permanent, so please help them to trace their name properly.
Reminders:
- Communication books came home today, so please check your child's backpack for those.
- Homework folders come back every day
- No chapel on Wednesday because today was all school chapel
Blessings,
Mrs. Marshall
