We started the morning off with the Bible story about Jacob marrying Leah and Rachel. Jacob loved Rachel and worked for seven years to marry her, but when the day of the wedding came, Laban (Rachel's father), tricked Jacob. Jacob ended up marrying Leah instead! So Jacob worked another seven years so that he could marry Rachel. Even though, he had been tricked, Jacob knew that it was important to work hard. God blessed Jacobs decision. Tomorrow we will be learning about Jacob's son, Joseph.
Other highlights from the day
• We worked on printing practice, forming letters Aa, Cc, Dd, and Hh.
• We are creating an "I am Special" booklet. Before starting this booklet, we read "You are Special" by Max Lucado. This is an amazing book that talks about how God made us all special.
• We learned more about bats. Bats are nocturnal which means that they sleep during the day and are awake at night. Bats sleep while hanging upside down. One reason for hanging upside down is because bats fall into flight. Birds can hop up and start flying, but this is hard for bats. They fall and then swoop up.
Reminders
• Pizza orders have been sent home. Don't forget to bring them back to school.
• Library is tomorrow, so please bring library books and bags back
• It is cold outside so please send your child to school with a coat, every day.
Blessings,
Mrs. Marshall
