Happy Valentine's Day! Today was filled with Valentine's celebrations! We watched a short clip about loving our enemies and we talked about how Joseph forgave his brothers, even though they sold him into slavery. We are supposed to love people!
Some of the other events of the day include: Math games, Bible songs, gym, and watching a Magic School Bus about recycling. Another highlight was learning about different tools that people use. I brought in a hammer, tool belt, tape measure, nail polish, computer parts, toothbrush and a couple other tools. I asked the question "who might use something like this?". The conversations that spurred from this were awesome!
Reminders:
• Don't forget to hand in Field Trip permission forms
• We are learning about community helpers. If you are able to come in and talk about your job, please email me at [email protected]. We would love to hear from you! It would only be 10-15 minutes. You could tell the students a little bit about what you do, maybe bring in a tool or part of a uniform, and they will ask you a couple questions.
Have a WONDERFUL Valentine's Day!
