We started the morning off with journals and writing about what a fairytale is. This was followed by us reading the story of the Three Little Pigs. While reading, we discussed what characters are and what a setting is.
After lunch we learned more about owls. Ask your kids about what makes owls eyes so special: they are huge, they cannot move, and they can turn their head almost all the way around to see what it happening. We also talked about an owls diet. They eat meat such as insects, mice, rats, and rabbits.
In Math we learned how to cover a large shape with smaller pattern blocks. Check out the pictures below.
Reminder:
• We are having an owl come to our class on April 15. If you do not want your child to participate in this activity, please contact me so that we can make alternative arrangements for your child.
Blessings,
Mrs. Marshall
